Empowering Farmers through Machinery and Quality Seeds-The Gambia

At the Jahuar Best Practice Hub in The Gambia, the project continues to strengthen the capacity of farmers and cooperatives by supporting land preparation and by providing access to seed-processing machinery. The hub also ensures that farmers can store and access quality seeds from the Community Seed Bank, helping them maintain reliable production. Farmers regularly use the project-provided machinery for post-harvest processing, significantly improving their efficiency. Beneficiaries report reduced dependence on manual labor, shorter post-harvest handling times, and more efficient operations, allowing them to manage their production activities more effectively.
