Promoting Innovation and Learning Through Farmer Knowledge Exchanges-Togo
Two knowledge-sharing events were organized between the RESADE project beneficiaries and ProMIFA, an IFAD-funded investment project in Togo, at the RESADE Atti-Apédokoe hub (the first hub site) and the RESADE Kouénou hub (the second hub site). The events brought together around 400 participants, including farmers from women and youth-led cooperatives, extension agents, local authorities, and project partners. The gatherings created an open platform for dialogue on challenges related to soil salinity, participatory research approaches, and the technologies being demonstrated at the hubs. Participants exchanged experiences on how these solutions can be adopted and adapted in their own communities. Through these interactions, the events strengthened horizontal knowledge sharing among farmers and reinforced collaboration and institutional linkages between the projects and local stakeholders.
