A six-day training program conducted in Liberia for 32 participants from Mozambique, Botswana, The Gambia, Sierra Leone, Togo, and Liberia.

The hands-on training program, which included field exercises, was conducted at the Central Agricultural Research Institute (CARI), Suakoko, Liberia, and focused on quality seed production and post-harvest processing; value addition; soil and fertilization management; and agronomical management.

Opened by Hon. George Tee Forpoh, Deputy Minister for Regional Development Research and Extension, Liberia, and joined by Dr. Victor Sumo, Director General of CARI, the program was conducted by ICBA’s Dr. R. K. Singh, Program Leader on Crop Diversification and RESADE project coordinator; Dr. Nhamo Nhamo, Senior Agronomist; and Dr. Ahmed H. El-Naggar, Soil Management Scientist.
