Water Resources Management: Challenges, Gaps and Opportunities

A workshop was held at the Cardoso Hotel, Maputo on 21-22 October 2019 to discuss "Water Resources Management: Challenges, Gaps and Opportunities". The workshop was co-hosted by the Institute of Agriculture Research of Mozambique (IIAM) and the International Center for Biosaline Agriculture (ICBA). It was attended by representatives from Institute of Agriculture Research of Mozambique (IIAM: Instituto de Investigação Agrária de Moçambique), National Institute of Disaster Management (INGC: Instituto Nacional de Gestão de Calamidades), National Institute of Irrigation (INIR: Instituto Nacional de Irrigação), Mozambican Rural Women's’ Farmers Movement (MMMR: Movimento Moçambicano das Mulheres Rurais), National Directorate of Water (DNA: Direcção Nacional de Águas), Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Food Security of Zambezia (DPASA: Direcção Provincial da Agricultura e Segurança Alimentar em Zambézia), National Directorate of Rural Development, ADEM (Aguas De Ragiao de Maputo), and the  District Economic Activities Service of Moamba (SDAE:Serviço Distrital de Actividades Económicas).
